Kevin Devaney Named Director of Systems Engineering at SRC

Syracuse, NY – SRC, Inc. is pleased to announce that Kevin Devaney has been named director, systems engineering.

In his new role, Devaney will lead the strategic planning, growth and management of the systems engineering business unit. He will be responsible for overseeing all parts of the systems engineering function, including software development, system integration, testing and production of key programs for SRC. Devaney has been with SRC for more than 30 years and has led work on radar target tracking and classification programs, including the recent introduction of machine learning and neural network programming.

“Kevin’s experience in radar development and machine learning have been integral to the success of many programs at SRC,” said Paul G. Tremont, president and CEO of SRC. “We are glad to have him leading the systems engineering business unit as they continue to help solve our customers’ toughest challenges.”

Throughout his career, Devaney has amassed over 20 years of experience in functional management, leading teams of intelligence analysts, software engineers and system engineers. Devaney earned his bachelor’s degree in physics from Georgetown University and two master’s of engineering degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Syracuse University. Devaney also holds a master’s degree in management and organizational development from Fielding Graduate University. Devaney is the Past President of the Finger Lakes Chapter of the International Council of Systems Engineers (INCOSE) and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Devaney is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse.
