Military and Engineering Awards
SRCTec, a subsidiary of SRC, is a Tier 1 supplier to the U.S. Army under the Department of Defense's Superior Supplier Incentive Program (SSIP), announced on February 9, 2015. The SSIP uses performance data gathered through the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System to rate the 25 largest companies doing business with each of the three services (Air Force, Army, Navy), based on contract obligations, and categorizes their business segments into one of three performance tiers, with "Tier 1" being the best.
This prestigious and very selective award distinguishes best technological solutions for soldiers, and how these new technologies increase competence for the U.S. Army. SRC's CREW Duke V3, a counter improvised explosive device system, was recognized with this award in 2009. Its predecessor, SRC's Countermeasure Protection System, received the award in 2005, and the company's Lightweight Counter-Mortar Radar, which was co-developed with the U.S. Army and is manufactured at SRCTec, received the award in 2004.
