September 3, 2024

Syracuse, NY – SRC, Inc. is proud to announce its continued dedication to fostering the development of future leaders in the industry through education and mentorship programs. Over the past three months, 37 talented and motivated interns have joined SRC's offices, gaining invaluable real-world experience while working on challenging assignments.

"These internships are designed to give students a taste of what it's like to work in the defense industry and may lead to a permanent position with SRC," said Kevin Hair, president and CEO of SRC. "Hundreds interns in years past have been employed here full-time. We want our interns to not only learn new skills but also contribute to our mission of providing innovative solutions to our customers."

2024 Summer Interns at SRC Syracuse Offices

SRC takes pride in providing interns with a well-rounded experience during their time with the company. From team-building exercises to networking events, interns are able to develop both professionally and personally. In addition to their work responsibilities, interns have the chance to engage in various fun activities and lunchtime learning opportunities, allowing them to build interpersonal, technical and business acumen skills while getting to know their cohorts.

Among the returning interns is Madison King, a rising senior studying computer and electrical engineering at the University of Rochester. King expressed her appreciation for the company culture, stating, "SRC has a collaborative environment that really made me feel that everyone I worked with was willing to help me succeed and grow. Their support and the innovative projects I’ve gotten to work on is a large part of why I returned.”

Sarah Vigliotti, another returning intern and a rising senior at Susquehanna University studying mathematics and computer science, echoed King's sentiments. Vigliotti emphasized the sense of community at SRC and how approachable people are, enabling her to “learn much more beyond my assignments."

SRC remains committed to nurturing young talent and equipping them with the necessary tools to succeed in their future careers. The summer internship program is just one of the many initiatives the company has in place to support the development of the next generation of leaders.
