SRC Names John Dougherty and Jason Steeger to Chief Systems Engineers

Syracuse, NY – SRC, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of John Dougherty and Jason Steeger to chief systems engineers.

As chief systems engineers, Dougherty and Steeger will be active in the development of new radar systems, directing and assisting engineering teams with the analysis of existing products. They will also serve as technical resources to SRC’s executive management regarding technology investment and internal research decisions.

"We are thrilled to promote John and Jason to the positions of chief systems engineers," said Kevin Hair, president and CEO of SRC, Inc. "Their exceptional skills and dedication to advancing radar technology have been instrumental in keeping America and its allies safe and strong."

Dougherty has 26 years of experience designing and developing radar system architectures, signal processing algorithms and hardware. He is currently leading efforts to develop new counter battery and instrumentation radars. Dougherty received his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from The University at Buffalo and master’s in electrical engineering and business management from Syracuse University.

Steeger is currently leading efforts to develop radar systems for military ground vehicle protection. Responsible for developing cutting-edge technology for Department of Defense customers, Steeger was honored as the 2023 "Technologist of the Year" by the Technology Alliance of Central New York. Steeger received his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Gannon University.
