SRC Names John Long as Director of Security

Syracuse, NY – SRC, Inc., has hired John Long as the new director of security.

In this role, Long will oversee all internal and external security, including program-related and physical facility security. He will manage the security staff at SRC’s corporate headquarters and regional offices and work closely with senior management to guide security policy to ensure adherence to all applicable regulations.

“A solid security program is the foundation of the work we do at SRC,” said Paul G. Tremont, CEO of SRC. “John brings extensive knowledge and expertise in security intelligence and will be invaluable to maintaining SRC’s strong track record of security excellence.”

Long joins SRC from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency where he worked as a senior industrial security specialist. He previously worked in security at BAE Systems, Inc., and before that he provided security support for the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, the Counterintelligence Field Activity, and the Missile Defense Agency. Long also served in the U.S. Army as an intelligence analyst, security manager and special security representative. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has achieved the Department of Defense security fundamentals professional certification, security asset protection professional certification, industrial security oversight professional certification, and physical security certification.
