Dr. Roger Mason is a member of the SRC board of trustees. He is also senior vice president at Parsons Corporation.

Mason has 30 years of experience working in the national security and intelligence missions that includes senior executive positions in government, industry and non-profit organizations.  Prior to Parsons, he was Peraton’s president of space and intelligence for over 6 years where he led a $2 billion business focused on national security solutions.  He served as the first Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Systems and Resource Analyses for 5 years and was awarded the IC’s highest award—the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal.  Mason’s non-profit leadership experience includes 7 years at Noblis where he was the senior vice president for national security and the chief security officer.

Mason has extensive board experience for public, private and non-profit organizations that includes Maxar, DigitalGlobe, Capella Space, FrontGrade, the Intelligence and National Security Alliance and the US Geospatial Intelligence Foundation where he served as Chairman.  He was also a member of the National Academy of Sciences’ Intelligence Community Studies Board and a former adjunct professor at the National Intelligence University.

Mason holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the George Washington University, a master’s in business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a doctorate in engineering physics from the University of Virginia.
