Man-portable battlefield radar systems have been developed by SRC for detection and tracking of ground vehicles, personnel and helicopters. A complete electronics upgrade to the AN/PPS-5 battlefield surveillance radar system was developed and fielded by SRC for the U.S. Army. The AN/PPS-5D provides dramatic improvements in performance and reliability, while reducing weight and power consumption.
